But who are the talented actors taking on the roles... here's all about them:
Eoin Macken as Karl D’Branin
Irish actor Eoin plays an astrophysicist and leader of the Nightflyer expedition in the show.
He is the principle actor in this new Netflix series.
The 35-year-old actor and model got his big break when he starred as Gwaine in 30 episodes of BBC show Merlin.
David Ajala as Roy Eris
David's character is the reclusive captain of the Nightflyer.
The London born actor shot to fame as Manchester Black in the Supergirl TV show.
He also appeared in Brit films Kidulthood, Adulthood and Brotherhood.

Jodie Turner-Smith as Melantha Jhirl
Jodie's role in Nightflyers is her biggest part to-date.
Before bagging the job she was known for the films Lemon and The Neon Demon.
Angus Sampson as Rowan
The Australian actor plays an xenobiologist on Nightflyer.
Angus is best known for his work in films.
He starred in Insidious, Mad Max: Fury Road and the supernatural horror film Winchester.

Sam Strike as Thale
Sam plays an L-1 telepath.
The 24-year-old has a host of TV and film credits to his name though he's probably best known for playing Johnny Carter on EastEnders between 2013-14.
He played Danny Dyer's character Mick Carter's son.
Ironically he went on to date Danny's famous daughter Dani, before she went on Love Island.
Maya Eshet as Lommie Thorne
In Nightflyer Maya is a cyberneticist who communicates with the Nightflyer's computers via a neuro-port surgically implanted in her arm.
Maya is an Israeli actress, known for the Teen Wolf TV show and the 2017 Netflix show To The Bone.

Brian F. O'Byrne as Auggie
Brian is the chief engineer of the Nightflyer in the Netflix series.
The Irish actor works and lives in the US.
He was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for his role in the miniseries Mildred Pierce and won a Bafta TV Award for playing Rhys Jones' dad Steve in the drama series Little Boy Blue.
Gretchen Mol as Agatha Matheson
In Nightflyer Gretchen plays a psychiatrist who specialises in working with telepaths.
Gretchen is an American actress and former model.
She is known for her roles in the films Rounders, Celebrity and The Thirteenth Floor.
She also played Gillian Darmody in hit TV show Boardwalk Empire.

When is Nightflyers released on Netflix?
Nightflyers is based on the novella by George R. R. Martin, who also served as an executive producer on the show.
The first season consists of ten episodes and has already aired in America.
