Britain’s Got Talent winner Ashleigh Butler debuts new dog Sully on America’s Got Talent: The Champions two years after Pudsey’s death

The trainer was devastated when her dog died from cancer in 2017 after winning BGT with her in 2012

BRITAIN’S Got Talent winner debuted her new dog Sully on last night’s America’s Got Talent: The Champions – two years after Pudsey’s death.

Her beloved pooch – a male border collie, bichon frise and Chinese crested cross,  who she won BGT with, died in 2017.

They wowed viewers and judges – Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Mel B – as they performed dance moves and tricks to Flashdance’s She’s A Maniac.

But it wasn’t quite enough to push them through to the next round of the show.

Ashleigh and Pudsey won BGT in 2012 and went on to travel the world together performing – and even starred in their own film, Pudsey: The Movie.

In 2017 the dog sadly died from cancer, leaving Ashleigh heartbroken.

They didn’t manage to get through to the second round

She tweeted at the time: “My poor handsome is gone, and I don’t know what to do without him. My heart is broken, and I don’t know how I’m going to get through this.

“It hurts so much, that my handsome, incredible Pudsey Bear will never be by my side, where he belongs, again.

“He was my one in a billion dog that will never be replaced.”

The trainer went on to reveal that Sully had grown up with Pudsey and was not a replacement dog.

After winning Crufts with Sully last year, she told MailOnline: “I have had Sully from a puppy – he is now four years old and has grown up with Pudsey.

“He never was and isn’t a direct replacement for Pudsey, as Pudsey can never be replaced.

She added: “Sully idolised Pudsey, looking up to him. They went everywhere together, competing and more recently performing together at various stage shows.

“Sully is heartbroken and pining for Pudsey as I am.”
