And model Ava, 19, from her previous marriage to Ryan Phillippe, 44, could have passed as Reese’s twin as they cuddled Betty, 70, for one heart-warming snap.

Reese, who is now married to Jim Toth, admitted her continuing aspiration is to get more women as lead parts on the big screen.

She said: “The idea is to put women at the centre of the story… I was sick of making movies where I was the only female lead on set.”
