Kim Kardashian is using a new surrogate for baby number four after her first one has tot of her own
KIM Kardashian is using a new surrogate for her fourth baby with Kanye West as her first had a daughter of her own this Christmas.
The 38-year-old star was hoping San Diego mom La’Reina Haynes would be able to carry her next child after she gave birth to the couple’s daughter Chicago last January, until she fell pregnant with her husband.
La’Reina, who also has two sons, shared a number of photographs after the birth of her third child on December 25, writing: “Guess who gets to go spend Christmas with her brothers!!!!! Leaving the hospital soon!”
The surrogate shared her location as the Sharp Mary Birch Hospital For Women And Newborns in San Diego, captioning another pic of her and her daughter: "My little ray of sunshine, you have no idea how much mommy loves you and will love you forever. #ihaveadaughter #mommys3rdbaby #soinlove.”
Sources claim Kim, who always wanted a big family, had one embryo left, a male, and has chosen a new surrogate for her little boy who will arrive “in very early May”.
“Kim and Kanye wanted four children and didn’t want to wait to welcome another baby, so they chose to go with someone else,” an insider told The Sun Online.
“She told friends she wanted La’Reina to carry her baby again but she fell pregnant unexpectedly and the timing didn’t work out.
“La’Reina is now taking a break to look after her own newborn daughter and spend time with her husband and sons, but she’s very happy for Kim.
“They got on incredibly well during her journey with Chicago and they have stayed in touch, Kim is hoping it goes as smoothly this time.”
Kim and rapper Kanye, 41, are also parents to North, five, and Saint, three, has been open about using a surrogate and even invited La’Reina to appear on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, keeping her face blurred.
“I would have maybe one more [child],” Kim admitted in an interview last year. “I really, really enjoyed the surrogacy process. I will say, when it came to the breastfeeding time, I was like, ‘OK, this is the best decision I ever made.’ “
“It’s a game changer, having to not go through [nursing] every few hours,” explains Kardashian West. “I can spend so much more time with the older kids and getting them used to the baby.”
