SUSAN Boyle is gearing up for a major music comeback a decade after her Britain's Got Talent success.

The 57-year-old singer finished in second place on the ITV talent show in 2009 behind winners Diversity, and has gone on to release seven albums and sell 25 million records worldwide.

But after a two year break, Susan is preparing for a big return to the charts and our TV screens, with the help of BGT supremo Simon Cowell.

Susan will compete in a 'Champions of Champions' edition of America's Got Talent, which starts on January 7 in the United States.

However Mel B, who is a judge on the show, has already let slip that Subo - as she is affectionately known - has already made it through to the semi-finals of the programme, titled America's Got Talent: The Champions.

A source added to The Mirror: "This is a big year for Susan and she is very much stepping back into the limelight with her AGT champions appearance being just the start.

Susan Boyle auditions for Britain's Got Talent in 2009 with 'I Dreamed a Dream'

"The anniversary of her audition which made headlines around the world is the perfect time to launch a career comeback, and Simon and Susan are both very excited about the year ahead.”

As well as her talent show return, Susan - who is signed to Simon's Syco record label - is also working on her eighth album and is rumoured to be performing on this year's Britain's Got Talent when it reaches the live shows.

Last month, Susan spoke about her big comeback, saying: "I couldn’t walk away from a second chance to prove myself.

“I’m really looking forward to singing – this time, with something to prove.”

Susan became one of Britain's Got Talent's most iconic auditionees after she stunned the judging panel with her rendition of I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables in 2009.

After finishing as runner-up, she was signed by Simon and released her first album, also called I Dreamed A Dream, that same year.

She has also received two Grammy Awards nominations and in 2012 her net worth was estimated at £22 million.
