Lucy Mecklenburgh is back on familiar ground as she once denied cheating on Mario Falcone with Mark Wright
This isn't the first time that Lucy has found herself at the centre of a cheating scandal
LUCY Mecklenburgh is at the centre of a cheating scandal after video footage emerged of her looking cosy with a mystery man earlier this week.
However, this is familiar ground for the former Towie star - with the 27-year-old beauty once admitting to lying to ex Mario Falcone about cheating on him with their co-star Mark Wright.
Lucy had already kissed Mark just weeks after she had started dating the Italian tailor.
But in November 2011, Mark told Mario that Lucy had spent the night at his - with his sister Jess Wright claiming to have a text from Lucy that acted as evidence.
Lucy denied that anything had happened at the time, but later broke down in tears and confessed that she hadn't been totally honest with her partner.
In scenes that were filmed for the ITVBe reality show, Lucy told Mario at the time: "I wanted to meet you because I've never been completely honest about that night. I think you know that."
She then admitted to spending the night at Mark's house while Mario was away in Ibiza - but insisted that she woke up fully clothed and couldn't remember anything.
A heartbroken Mario furiously hit back: "You lied for the last two months not just to me, to my whole family.
"What sort of person does that make you? How can you say anything? There is nothing more to say!"
Mario promptly dumped the reality star, `with Lucy later putting on a grand display in a bid to win his forgiveness.
Taking to the stage during a night out, Lucy cut the music as she told party-goers: "I made a mistake, the biggest mistake of my life. I put my hands up, I admit it, I regret it. It was the worst thing I've ever done.
"I was selfish, I didn't want to hurt or lose you Mario and I've stupidly now done both.
"You did nothing but stand by me, you were loyal and I'm sorry I lied to you and everyone here.
"I don't know if you'll ever find it in your heart to give me. I can only hope you feel the same as me and want to start putting us back together.
"I love you so much Mario and I'm so, so sorry. I would do anything to get you back."
The pair did end up briefly reuniting, and even got engaged before splitting for good in 2012.
Lucy hit the headlines again at the start of the week after she was caught on camera cosying up to an unidentified man in a Dubai nightclub - despite being in a relationship with actor Ryan Thomas.
Lucy was spotted partying with a group of friends at The Penthouse, Five Palm, earlier this month, before she was caught on camera kissing a man on the cheek, holding his hand, and rubbing his back.
The footage left Ryan, 34, devastated.
Earlier today, The Sun Online revealed that the star fought back tears as he watched the video, with a source telling us: "Ryan burst into tears when he watched the video of Lucy with the mystery man and feared the worst.
"She explained he’s just a friend and said she would never be so silly as Ryan’s mate was in Dubai at the same time.
"Ryan is a very emotional person who wears his heart on his sleeve.
"He is convinced that there’s more to it than the video shows, but Lucy insists she has nothing to apologise for.
"They’ve been having some heated chats on the phone.
"At best it is very poor judgment on her part and he doesn’t want to think about what the worst case scenario is."
Meanwhile, Lucy lashed out at reports she'd cheated on her boyfriend, telling followers: "Since when has saying goodbye to a friend turned into a cosy night out?! #ridiculous".
Ryan and Lucy met last year while filming the reality show Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls for Channel 4.
They briefly split in June following an explosive row, but got back together days later and have recently been making wedding plans for the future.
