EASTENDERS' Linda Carter has reunited with her beloved husband Mick ahead of the soap's explosive Christmas special.
However their happy reunion is set to be cut short as menacing Stuart Highway looks to come between them as they attempt to settle back into life in Albert Square.
Teasing a volatile festive instalment, the trio, played by Danny Dyer, Kellie Bright and Ricky Champ, are pictured standing in the Queen Vic, with Mick and Stuart staring at Linda.
It's been a rough time for poor Mick after he was arrested and thrown behind bars for a crime he didn't commit.
Matters have been made worse after he found out that his former friend shot himself just to frame him.
Not only has Stuart framed Mick to get him thrown in the nick, he's also made sure he's suffered during his time behind bars.
He got a friend on the inside to tell the other inmates that Mick is a child abuser so they would make his life miserable.
Meanwhile, fans of the BBC soap were left horrified by the sex and violence before the watershed when Stuart beat Linda and tried to rape her.
Viewers flocked to Twitter to express their shock over the disturbing scenes that aired last night.
In latest instalment of the saga, Linda tried to seduce Stuart to get a recorded confession out of him after he shot himself to frame her husband Mick.
However, he saw through her plan and became aggressive, throwing her to the ground and attempting to rape her in the Queen Vic in seriously disturbing scenes.
The episode ended after she got rid of Stuart by whacking him on the head with a vase, later revealing she'd managed to record everything on a secret device hidden in her hair.
Viewers headed online tweet about the dark and twisted scenes, with many insisted it should not have been shown before the watershed at 9pm.
