Since releasing the album, Megan has received huge praise for her debut offering and has been given support from her good pal Olly Murs.

An insider said of Megan’s achievement: “It's a huge success and she's really happy to be top of the charts.

“It's a dream come true as a country artist.”

Speaking to The Sun Online, Megan revealed she’d teamed up with one of Ed Sheeran’s songwriters on the album.

“People normally see me on screen either in an argument, falling out with someone, or in a breakup.

“I really wanted people to step into my life without all of that, all of the editing.”

Megan, who will appear on the next series of Celebs Go Dating, spent the past 12 months focusing on releasing her album.

Megan McKenna insists she'll never get back together with Muggy Mike because 'everything happens for a reason'

She added: “I will never stop doing TV but I want to film positive things now.

“I prefer to put all my energy into music, not negative people that want to have arguments.

“Country music is all about telling your story, and I've definitely grown up and I can control my anger better.

“I'm 26 now, I had just turned 23 when I first went on TV.”
