Kate Wright looks stylish in flared trousers on day out with fiance Rio Ferdinand in his Aston Martin after taking £2.5m off the price of the house he shared with late wife
KATE Wright jumped into Rio Ferdinand's Aston Martin dressed in stylish flares, after he knocked £2.5million off the price of his former home.
The TOWIE star and ex-Man United player stopped off for petrol in Kent, over 240 miles away from where he lived with his late wife Rebecca before she tragically died from breast cancer.
Kate, 28, looked chic in hoop earrings, a tight jumper and pair of floor length trousers that featured an eye-catching pattern.
Rio, 40, matched his fiance in a turtle neck jumper and looked handsome as he walked his missus back to the supercar.
Kate and Rio live with his kids near London, and he recently put his old mansion in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, up for sale at £4.5million.
The TV pundit had already cut the price to £3million but is so keen to start afresh with new love Kate Wright that it’s now on the market for £2million.
A source said: “This house holds many happy memories. But Rio’s life is in London and he’s trying to move on.
“He got engaged to Kate recently with the blessing of his children and there is no need for them to keep hold of this place 200 miles away.”
Rio made a BBC documentary after Rebecca’s death which followed him for a year afterwards as he tried to come to terms with the loss and its effects on him and his children.
The programme - called Rio Ferdinand: Being Mum And Dad - won a BAFTA.
After Rebecca passed away, he released a heartbreaking statement saying: “My soul mate slipped away last night.
“Rebecca, my wonderful wife, passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London.
“She was a fantastic loving mother to our three beautiful children.
"She will be missed as a wife, sister, aunt, daughter and granddaughter.
“She will live on in our memory, as a guide and inspiration.”
