I'M A Celeb fans have slammed James McVey after he moaned about being skint despite raking in £150,000 a year.
The Vamps star, 24, complained that he's had to buy a £30,000 second hand car as he can't afford new because his wages have slumped.
Viewers were unimpressed by his attitude to money, writing on Twitter: "I only earn 250k a year so I can only afford a 30K second hand car... Can he actually HEAR himself? #ImACeleb.
"Starting a Go Fund me account for James as he's obviously down on ends meat. Poor lad having to buy a 2nd hand , £30,000 car. Boo hoo #ImACeleb.
"God James it must be hard only making £250,000 in a year!! #ImACeleb.
"Poor old James, only earning £250k for singing 😔 #ImACeleb.
"He's winging about earning 250,000???? IS HE OKAY #ImACeleb."
In a chat with Harry Redknapp, 71, tonight, he was asked what car his drives and James opened up about his earnings.
He revealed that in his best ever year he earned £250,000 from the band, but it's now gone down to £150,000.
He griped that he's even had to buy a second hand car, but dreams of owning a new Range Rover.
The musician said: "I would love a Range Rover but I just can’t afford one, I can’t.”
The admission took Harry by surprise and he said: "I can’t believe it, I just thought you are at the 02 and you’d be making millions and millions.”
James explained that his wages go on tax and paying his management company and he's not left with much.
He said: "People don’t realise the money associated so for example our best year was when I was 19 the band made four million, now there’s four of us in the band and I pay 45% tax, 20% to our management and our record label takes 10% so in my best year ever I earned 250k and that’s the most I’ve ever earned in a year.
