NOEL Edmonds was paid £2, 272 AN HOUR for his short-lived stint on I’m A Celebrity.
The TV legend was given £600,000 to enter the jungle - the biggest fee ITV has ever paid out – but was the first to be booted out after just ten days.
His early exit means he was earned £54,545 a day and an impressive £37 a minute, despite entering five days after his co-stars.
Fans of the show and ITV bosses were left shocked when Noel lost his place on the programme.
The veteran TV presenter was one of six up for the boot after failing to gain immunity.
Some viewers claimed the show was rigged as Noel was the only contestant to be clutching a bag during the results.
They also complained that he hadn’t tried hard enough to win immunity.
During the show he had to neck a snail milkshake as part of the Immunity Games — although a halfhearted effort saw him miss out on protection from the public vote.
Noel also raised eyebrows with a series of catty comments aimed at Holly Willoughby, who he has famously feuded with over the years.
The row stems from 2016, when the pair clashed over Noel’s suggestion that cancer is caused by “negative energy”.
On one occasion he clashed with Holly as he tackled a bug-eating trial alongside footie legend Harry Redknapp, 71.
Holly tried to encourage Noel, 69, by telling him: “Clear your mind.” But Noel snapped: “Clear your mind? How dare you!”
Noel also struggled to get along with Nick Knowles on the show, jokingly calling him a “little p***k”.
When asked on Extra Camp by Scarlett Moffatt if Nick was "needling him", Noel responded: “Nick I think is great, he's a natural leader and he just wanted to make sure we were led.
“I do have a problem sometimes with rules and regulations. There was no needle, maybe just a little p***k.
“I do think there was a moment where Nick looked at me like, die.”
