The actor left viewers shocked as he appeared to pull an item that was shaped very similar to a mobile phone from his shorts pocket and peer down at it
MALIQUE Thompson-Dwyer caused controversy when he appeared to pull what looked like a mobile phone from his pocket in the I’m A Celebrity camp during Saturday night’s episode.
The Hollyoaks actor, 20, could be seen taking a white object out of his shorts which was a similar size to a phone.
It appeared to have a glow to it and Malique looked down at the rectangular item as if he was checking something.
In scenes which aired on Saturday, the star pulled the possible device from his clothing shortly after former campmate Noel Edmonds left the show the previous day.
A number of eagle-eyed viewers also spotted Malique’s actions and took to Twitter to express their surprise.
One shocked person wrote: “Why has Malique got his mobile phone????!!!!!!!”
Another asked: “Anyone else just see Malique pull what looked like a phone out of his pocket?”
Echoing the same sentiment, another viewer posted: “Did malique actually just get his phone out?!”
And another fan remarked: “Malique defo just pulled out his phone on #imaceleb. Someone’s gonna get b**locked at for not editing that out!”
However, during a previous episode of the ITV reality show, Malique said he was missing his phone as he would usually spend a lot of time using it at home.
The television star admitted he had been forced to get to know his campmates better than he would other people usually because he had spent more time chatting to them rather than looking at the screen of his mobile.

However, the stars are actually allowed to smoke during their time Down Under and cigarettes are not a luxury item.
A spokesperson for ITV said: “Celebrities who smoke are allowed to smoke in camp.
“They have to smoke near the campfire and then put stubs out in the fire.
“We don’t have an allocation regarding cigarettes, if a celebrity smokes, they can smoke.
“Smoking is not hidden on screen.”
