NOEL Edmonds gunged a young Piers Morgan during an episode of Noel's House Party in the 90s.
Piers, who was The Sun's Bizarre editor at the time, was slimed after losing a phone vote against journalist Rick Sky.
Rick, who was representing, received 47% of the viewer vote, with Piers only just beating him at 53% during the 1993 Christmas special of Noel's popular BBC show.
When Noel asked the controversial star if he had "any last words" before facing the slime, Piers quipped: "The nation's lost its taste."
The live studio audience then clapped and cheered as Piers was covered in grey and red gunge.
Noel admitted how much he "enjoyed" watching the shenanigans, later telling the camera that Piers had written an untrue article in his column about him before dunking another bucket of green slime over the star's head.
Noel continued: "I wasn't angry, I wasn't upset, I was laughing", as he lifted a second bucket - with Piers fighting him for it before finding a third bucket and chasing the Deal Or No Deal host around the studio with it.
The two men laughed as they carried on running around the set, with Noel bringing the segment to an end by demanding Piers sat in the slime chair again and producers "took him away".
Noel is currently taking part in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, with the TV favourite landing a staggering £600,000 for signing up - making him the ITV reality show's highest ever paid contestant.
However, The Sun Online recently revealed that I'm A Celeb bosses are feeding Noel topics to talk about with his campmates in a bid to get the most for their money.
A source told us: "Producers want to get the most screen time out of Noel as he was their most expensive campmate ever."
They are particularly keen to see him interact with the younger campmates for comedy value.
The insider added: "It’s also the first time audiences will have seen him talk so candidly so there is a genuine interest in what he has to say.
"He has loads of alternative ideas about positive energy, and they are desperate for him to open up about them."
