Craig Revel Horwood slams Strictly pros for moaning about their salaries — telling them ‘go and do Cats for £200 a week!’

Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood tells professional dancers to be grateful for their exposure on the hit show after revealing their plans to form a union and fight for a pay rise

STRICTLY judge Craig Revel Horwood has told the show’s whingeing pros: “Go and do Cats for 200 quid a week and then see how you feel.”

The acid-tongued Aussie said the dancers should be grateful for the BBC1 programme giving them a platform.

Craig, 53, hit out at their plans to form a union to fight for more pay, saying: “This show puts them in the limelight.

“If they are doing what they normally do, which is competitive dance up in Blackpool, there would be 500 people interested.

“There is 12million people interested in this show.

“They have all got Twitter accounts and they are all making money on the side doing something else.

“I think, ‘Isn’t that enough? Go and do Cats for 200 quid a week and then see how you feel’.”

, who appeared in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical on tour in Europe and in the West End, spoke out after The Sun revealed the Strictly pros were campaigning for more pay.

They are said to earn about £50,000 for the series but point out they work much longer hours than the judges who receive thousands more.

But in 2015, Craig’s fellow judge, Bruno Tonioli, 63, also had little sympathy. He said: “If you don’t like it, stop moaning and f*** off.”
