The pair briefly split in 2014 after Kirstie was pictured kissing another man
JAMES McVey's girlfriend Kirstie Brittain has begged cruel Twitter trolls to leave her alone as old rumours of her cheating on the pop star have resurfaced.
The model has been supporting James as he takes part in this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, but has now admitted that negative tweets from James' fans make it "hard".
One fan tweeted the blonde beauty: "Hope you're ok with all the negativity floating around at the moment, gal! Sending love."
Kirstie replied: "Truly trying to block out the haters."
The fan responded: "It's disgusting how people can't just focus on the positives and move on from things, we're always here for you."
To which Kirstie shared: "I'm always trying to remember that personal lives are personal for a reason and all that matters is that you yourself knows what's right and who you really are - but these f***ers make it hard!!
"I'm getting there, thank you for being kind!"
James and Kirstie briefly split in 2014 after a photo of her kissing another man emerged online.
James, who forms part of the band The Vamps, said at the time: "Not sure why I give people my heart so easily.
"Trust and loyalty are the most important things in relationships. Without them, there's nothing.
"Girls suck and friends aren't always who you think they are."
He also begged fans to stop tagging him in the photo of Kirstie with the other man, tweeting: "Please can people stop tagging me in that picture on Instagram – I don’t need to see that."
The star's bandmate, Tristan Evans, responded at the time: "Her loss! Love you bro!"
Despite James' heartache, he and Kirstie reunited just two months after splitting - and have been together ever since.
However, some of the I'm A Celeb star's fans aren't quite as forgiving - and have been trolling Kirstie about her alleged affair since it was announced that he will be taking part in the ITV reality show.
