ANNE Hegerty revealed the impact her autism has had on her love life as she poured her heart out to John Barrowman during last night's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!
The Chase star, 60, admitted she has always found it difficult to hold down relationships as she bonded with the actor during a chat about his previous role in Doctor Who.
When John, 51, asked Anne if she had a partner, she replied: "No I don't.
"When I was working out that I was autistic it clarified a lot of things for me and one of those things was, 'That's why I never seem to be able to make it work, that's why I always feel claustrophobic in a relationship.'
"That's why I kind of think that's probably not intended for me."
Quiz whizz Anne wasn't diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome until 2003, when she was already 45 years old.
John, who played Captain Jack Harkness in the long-running sci-fi show and spin-off Torchwood, then enthused: "Well if you need a hand just holler and The Captain will come and help you."
The chat came after Anne's The Chase co-star Mark Labbett admitted she has a "massive crush" on the gay entertainer.
He tweeted earlier this week: "#TeamHegerty Anne has a massive crush on #TeamBarrowman."
Revealing yet more details about her life on last night's show, Anne made a funny revelation about her Wikipedia.
