Why was Biffy Clyro trending after I'm A Celeb?

On November 20, 2018 the band started trending on Twitter during an episode of I'm a Celebrity.

Campmate Nick Knowles revealed how he got a record deal after jamming with Biffy Clyro on a Soho rooftop.

Host Declan Donnelly encouraged viewers to tweet the hashtag "Biffy Clyro Not Embarrassed They Jammed With Nick Knowles" to get the band trending - and just minutes later it happened.

News reached the band itself, with trio gleefully sharing the hashtag.

One prankster took it a step further and hijacked the group's Wikipedia page, describing them as Nick's backing band.
