NOEL Edmonds has admitted recording a heartbreaking goodbye message for his daughters before attempting to take his own life 12 years ago.
The TV presenter, 68, revealed he tried to commit suicide after the collapse of his business empire saw him fall into a "dark space".
The Deal or No Deal star even wrote a letter to his ex-wife Helen Soby and left a dictaphone message for their daughters Charlotte, Olivia, Lorna and Alice.
He told ITV News: "My world imploded. And I lost my home. I went to a very dark space.
"The only way I can describe it is it is the darkest space that the human mind ever occupies.
"You see nothing. I mean I had four daughters, I had a wife, I had mates. I saw nothing in that dark space."
Convinced that suicide was the only way out, he continued: "I wrote a letter to my now ex-wife explaining as best I could why I'd reached the end.
"And I recorded little dictaphone messages to my daughters, basically saying goodbye."
The interview came after Noel fell victim to financial fraud.
The long-time British telly host said he was driven "to the brink of emotional annihilation" after a group of corrupt financiers from HBOS bank conspired to destroy his business, Unique Group.
Noel is now seeking £73million in compensation.
The Sun previously revealed the TV legend has already been paid a whopping £600,000 fee for his stint on this year's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!
Noel also accidentally revealed the shocking name for his private parts when quizzed about his fears as he settled in Down Under.
He said he won't free "Mr Happy and the twins" when he takes a jungle shower.
