NICOLA Thorp is set to reprise her role as Nicola Rubinstein on Coronation Street next year.
The soap star was embroiled in a gripping storyline earlier this year, which saw her on-screen father, Pat Phelan (Connor Mcintyre) killed off in a dramatic exit.
But after the tragic death of the serial killer, Nicola's character then left the cobbles streets of Weatherfield in June.
Just five months later and the 30-year-old actress has confirmed her return.
The star has confirmed she is already filming her comeback scenes.
Speaking in a video, which was shared on Coronation Street's official Twitter account, the beauty said: "Hello, everyone. It's my first day back on the set of Corrie."
Nicola is looking forward to returning to the ITV soap, and hopes viewers are eager for her comeback.
She continued: "I'm so excited to be back. I've missed you all.
"It's been a long time now since Phelan's reign of terror, but I hope you're all looking forward to what Nicola's going to get up to in January when she's back on screens.
"Love you all."
Although Nicola is currently on set, her comeback episodes will air in January 2019.
Nicola made her debut in Coronation Street in June 2017.
She starred in the programme for one year before she left.
There is no doubt Nicola will be excited to come back as she hailed her co-stars as 'a family'.
Speaking previously when she announced her departure, she said: "To be involved in Phelan's demise has been an absolute treat, and I hope you've all been enjoying it as much as I have enjoyed filming it.
"I've got wonderful friends, a family that I've made here."
