‘Broke’ Katie Price shops in Poundland as bankruptcy fears force her to try to cut back spending
KATIE Price has started shopping in Poundland in a bid to avoid bankruptcy.
The former glamour model was pictured stocking up on cleaning products and wrapping paper in the budget chain shop with a pal.
Katie, 40, has until December to work out a deal with her creditors and stop going bankrupt.
She appeared in high spirits as she nipped into her local branch to pick up some bargains.
Her expensive tastes appear hard to move on from however, as Katie opted to wear a pair of her favourite £400 trainers for the outing.
She kept her face covered with pink cap which she pulled low over her face as she went inside.
Fans could be seen trying to get a glimpse of the former millionaire as she pulled a basket around the store.
Katie has started filming the third series of her reality TV series but she was not joined by her camera crew for her bargain hunt.
Last week she was praised by her fans for being “open and honest” about her personal, and financial issues, in a one-off episode of My Crazy Life.
In the episode Katie discussed the breakdown her marriage to Kieran Hayler and her recent stay in the Priory.
The mum-of-five also discussed being visited by bailiffs and joked about having County Court Judgements.
Her ex Kieran told The Sun Katie regularly had debt collectors knocking at the door of her West Sussex mansion.
Most notably, an angry electrician claimed he had still not been paid £3000 he was owed for work he had done.
Katie was once thought to be worth £45million at the height of her fame.

However after blowing her cash she’s now in a dire financial position.
She now has until 4 December to work out a way of paying back what she owes.
Katie is keeping upbeat about her situation however and has assured her fans she will bounce back.
