Ayda Field plans to turn Robbie Williams’ X Factor dressing room into a gym as he continues to miss live shows
The singer has taken time out from judging the television talent contest to go on tour in South America and his dressing room is being put to another use
IT SEEMS things are all change for Robbie Williams behind-the-scenes on The X Factor as his dressing room is being turned into a gym.
The singer, 44, who has signed up to be a judge on the show for the current series has taken time out to go on tour.
And, while the former Take That star is away for three weeks, his wife Ayda Field, 39, who is sitting alongside him on the panel this year, is making the most of his unused personal space backstage.
The actress is moving exercise equipment into his room so she can work on her health and fitness, and show bosses gave her the go ahead.
A source told the Sunday Mirror: “His room was lying empty so bosses thought why not put it to good use.
“Ayda was the driving force behind it. She can’t wait to see his face when he finds out it has gone.”
Robbie is currently touring South America and his absence appears to have had a detrimental impact on his acts.
X Factor fans were furious with Robbie after he missed his third week of live shows in a row.
His absence has many viewers questioning why he decided to sign up to The X Factor in the first place.
Robbie's groups category has lost two acts in the weeks he's not been on the panel, despite drafting in Chic legend Nile Rodgers to keep his seat warm.
Fed-up without him in the studio, fans fumed on Twitter: "Robbie williams who.....not there for his acts. Total disgrace!!!!
"#XFactor - I think Robbie Williams is taking this working from home lark too far now.
"Where’s @robbiewilliams #xfactor Has he given up?
"Why the hell is #RobbieWilliams a #xfactor judge Don't take a job you can't commit to #simoncowell.”
