I’m A Celeb star Noel Edmonds’ weirdest feuds, from Noel Gallagher and Jimmy Carr to the Archbishop Of Canterbury
I'M A Celebrity star Noel Edmonds' almighty bust-up with Holly Willoughby, which we told you about yesterday, was only the tip of iceberg as far as his famous feuds are concerned.
The 69-year-old telly legend has had rows, rucks and wrangles with a string of other stars, from Noel Gallagher to Jimmy Carr - and even the Archbishop of Canterbury.
In fact, many of them make his broadside at Holly, who he called "aggressive, disrespectful and dishonest", look mild by comparison.
Phillip Schofield, Chris Moyles and even his old pal Tony Blackburn have all felt Edmonds' wrath.
Here, we lift the curtain on the weird world of Noel - and what we can expect to see the bearded showbiz veteran kick off about in the jungle.
Rachel Riley
As Noel-watchers will know, the star has a long-standing beef with Lloyds Bank, whose firm HBOS he claims destroyed his company the Unique Group.
So he hit the roof when he saw Countdown's Rachel appearing in an ad the finance giant was running around mental health.
Claiming the number genius had been paid £35,000 to star in the campaign, he raged in terrifying caps: "RACHEL HAND BACK THE MONEY AND RESTORE YOUR INTEGRITY. YOU’RE EITHER WITH THE VICTIMS OR THE PERPETRATORS."
However, 33-year-old Rachel tersely told Noel that she was proud to be in the advert.
She claimed: "For my involvement, a total of £8K was donated to my favourite charity the Angus Lawson Memorial Trust. I personally didn’t receive a penny."
Professor Green
Pro was also in the firing line when he also appeared in a promotion for Lloyds, with Noel writing him an open letter on his Noel World blog.
Addressing him by his real name Stephen, he begged the 34-year-old rapper to bin the campaign, saying he had suffered "mental anguish at the hands of callous, evil hearted bankers".
Pro did not reply.
Noel Gallagher
When two Noels go to war... everyone ends up very confused.
That's what happened when Edmonds approached Gallagher in a posh restaurant - and complained to the 51-year-old about being the butt of jokes for sharing the same name.
Noel Gallagher explained: “I went for lunch last week and in the seat next to me was Noel Edmonds. My missus was going, ‘No way, that’s Noel Edmonds.'
“He said to me, ‘It’s great to finally meet you after all these years because of all the jokes and that’.
“I went, ‘What jokes? What are you talking about?’ He goes, ‘Because we’re both called Noel’.
"And I went, ‘What jokes are you talking about? Are people taking the mickey out of me to you?’ And he went, ‘Well, you know.’
“And then there was an awkward silence and I was like: ‘Whatever, enjoy your sea bass.’ I didn't know what he was on about."
Chris Moyles
Noel branded his successor on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show "coarse" and "not appropriate" for the BBC.
Speaking about 44-year-old Chris, he told Q magazine: "I find a lot of what he says offensive" adding that he was only not going further because Chris had recently praised Deal Or No Deal.
"I feels rather horrid to say that I don't think his show is very good," Noel admitted.
Phillip Schofield
Six months after they had a heated debate on This Morning, Noel reignited his feud with Phillip, calling him a "fool".
The pair fell out over over cancer-survivor Noel's theory that negative energy might be to blame for people getting the disease.
Noel tweeted the 56-year-old findings of a Harvard University study that showed negative people were more vulnerable to serious illness, but Phillip called the way the research was delivered "insensitive and tactless".
Noel soon hit back, telling the silver fox: "You corrupted the truth and made a fool of yourself. Your ego is larger than your intellect." Oof.
Jimmy Carr
Comedian Nick Helm this week described the filming of a celeb version of Deal Or No Deal he appeared on where an "offensive" Noel hosted and Jimmy was the contestant.
Speaking on Fubar Radio he said: "Noel Edmonds was absolutely insane. He would say some of the most offensive stuff to us as guests."
Nick then claimed Noel tormented 46-year-old Jimmy for looking like the cartoon sex pest Quagmire from Family Guy.
He said: "The joke is that Jimmy Carr looks like Quagmire. I don't know whether Jimmy gets it a lot. He didn't really know how to react, he didn't want to lower himself to actually respond to the joke.
"Noel says: 'The Banker seems to think you look a little bit like Quagmire.'"
He claims Carr then "turns round and says, 'Just tell The Banker: giggedy, giggedy."
At which point, Nick says Edmonds "slides right up to Jimmy Carr, and with little cat paws goes 'a giggedy goo'.
"Jimmy turns round to Noel and goes: 'Creepy Noel. Real creepy.'"
Unsurprisingly, when 8 Out of 10 Cats did a Deal Or No Deal mash-up the following year, Jimmy and Noel did not appear together.
Tony Blackburn
Noel had a big problem when some of his Radio 1 colleagues appeared in a Channel 5 documentary called The Curse Of Noel Edmonds.
He accused former I'm A Celebrity winner Tony, 75, of losing his mind, saying: "Poor old Tony's got a big memory problem.
"I always wondered whether he realised that Capital Gold is actually an Oldies station."
He went on to call his fellow Radio 1 Breakfast Show star Mike Read a "w****r" for doing the TV show, telling GQ: "If it was an Olympic sport, he would have won more medals than Steve Redgrave."
Mike later declared himself "staggered and disappointed".

The Archbishop of Canterbury
Possibly Noel's fiercest fury was reserved for the Archbishop of Canterbury, who he called a "reincarnation of ancient evil".
Slamming 62-year-old Justin Welby for failing to meet HBOS fraud victims and investing money in - you guessed it - Lloyds Bank, he asked: "Does he have a divine right to be an a*******?"
Crikey. Noel really is not afraid to have a pop at anyone who riles him.
