She told Heart Radio: “It’s so exciting I can’t believe I’m back. [My fans], they’ve been waiting for so long, they’ve been so patient with us.
“I’m so glad, I’m so happy it’s out there now, because the anticipation of waiting for it to be out there was killing me.
“Something inside of us was just like, ‘I’m ready,’ and I wasn’t ready for the longest time, even that [return] was appealing.”
She admitted it “killed her” putting her career on hold and that she was ready to glam up again for public life and to perform her music.

The pair have known each other for a long time and have met on “several occasions over the years” through her various charity projects.
But this time around, she may have been more mindful after making an accidental blunder during their last meeting.
Speaking to The Telegraph Magazine, Cheryl said she has “warm memories” of an early meeting in July 2012 when she joined him for tea at Clarence House.
The pair was discussing the launch of her charity, Cheryl’s Trust, in aid of The Prince’s Trust.

“Someone started coughing loudly behind me, which he just found very funny.”
