Towie’s Dan Edgar insists he’s over Kate Wright following her engagement to Rio Ferdinand – despite admitting he will always love her
TOWIE’s Dan Edgar says he is over Kate Wright following her engagement and hasn’t spoken to her for years — despite admitting he will always have feelings for her.
Sunday’s episode of the ITVBe show saw the reality hunk and girlfriend Amber Turner almost break up which was said to be caused by his ex’s engagement to former footballer Rio Ferdinand.

But he denied it was about the pundit popping the question and insisted he has no feelings for her despite saying he always would.
Speaking at Peter André’s luxury bed collection launch last night, Dan told the Sun: “It’s nothing to do with that. That happened a long time ago. It was literally a few things with our relationship.”
Asked if he still had feelings for her, he replied: “That comment was from a long time ago. I can’t remember when I said that. I haven’t said it recently. But that’s in the past. I’m with Amber and I’m happy with her.”
Dan also admitted he hadn’t contacted Kate to congratulate her on her happy news having dated her on and off for six years before splitting in 2016.

He said: “Nah we don’t speak. As I said a long time ago. I haven’t seen her for a long time.”
But a source said earlier this week: “He hasn’t been happy for a while and now, with Kate and Rio getting engaged, it’s put things in perspective."
On Sunday’s episode, Dan approached Amber during the episode and referenced their “big fall out”.
Amber started to sob and told him: “I hate when we argue.
“We argue over stupid things, this has created a divide between us.
“I don’t want to lose you over a stupid argument. We didn’t go through all of that.”
Dan assured her he wasn’t going anywhere and hugged Amber as she cried.
He added the pair are stronger than ever after getting over their latest bump.

Dan said: “We’re fine. We’re really good to be fair.
“Obviously there were a few issues a few weeks ago which has been sorted out which you saw in the show.
“It’s stupid things. It’s nothing that can’t be sorted out. Normal things that go on in the relationship just unfortunate for us you get to see it on TV.”
