Rachel Riley can’t stop laughing as Countdown board spells out ‘perverts’

COUNTDOWN fans got another rude word treat today when Rachel Riley spelt out PERVERTS on the famous board.

And no, she wasn't talking about today's contestants.

The third letters game this afternoon gave the players the letters R, V, O, E, P, T, E, R and S - and one player wasn't going to miss a gift like that.

"PERVERTS," he blurted out confidently, bagging a precious eight-letter score.

Host Nick Hewer, having heard it all before, seemed totally unfazed.

In contrast, his 32-year-old co-host Rachel Riley couldn't stop giggling as she assembled the letters on the board.

Adrian Chiles, joining Susie Dent in Dictionary Corner today, branded the word "unsavoury".

However, Countdown viewers are becoming battle-hardened to the filth.

Only last week we revealed how the show coined the insult CUM BUDGIE on its Halloween special.

And there have been plenty of rude words over the years.

PERVERTS joins the show's long roll call of smut, with PORN, BUMHOLE, VAGINAS, ASSWIPE, FARTED, ERECTION, PHALLUS, ORGASMED and GOBS**** all having appeared on the board.
