CORONATION Street viewers are completely furious after cobbles legend Vera Duckworth's memory was abused in tonight's episodes.
The Weatherfield icon - who was played by the late Liz Dawn in the ITV soap - was seen tonight in photographs after Fiz Brown discovered Evelyn had plundered Vera's jewellery box and began to wear it.
Evelyn's grandson Tyrone was an a semi-adopted grandson of the legendary Vera and her husband Jack.
They brought him into their home after his adopted mother Jackie abandoned him, and he remained devoted to them until the end.
But in tonight's episodes Vera's beloved jewellery was hijacked by schemer Evelyn and viewers were sickened by her behaviour.
Tyrone himself took her to task saying she had no respect after what she had done, but the damage was done for fans.
They flocked to social media to share their outrage at it all.
One wrote: I can hear Vera turning in her grave after hearing that some of her jewellery was stolen #Corrie
A second said: "#Corrie Beattie's nicking Vera's earrings!
"She'll have the stone cladding off next."
A third commented: "Awww, I hope Evelyn hasn't stolen, sold or pawned Vera Duckworth's jewellery. Shame on her if she has! #Corrie"
Another added: "OMG Evelyn has taken Vera's earrings #corrie @itvcorrie @alanhalsall @jenniemcalpine"
