CHERYL has insisted her new single has nothing to do with her former flame Liam Payne.
The 35 year old has released her new track titled Love Made Me Do It just four months after her and the One Direction band member split.
However, Cheryl is adamant the track has nothing to do with the 25 year old, or their two-year relationship.
The beauty has insisted the compilation has a more general meaning that 'anyone' who has been in love can relate to.
Speaking about her latest venture, she said: "It’s something that anyone who’s been in love will be able to relate to in some way or another.
"It’s not about one specific person or relationship, it’s more about me being the lover of love that I am. I just love love!”
In the track Cheryl - who has son Bear with Liam - hints she is a hopeless romantic.
She sings: "Oh my god, I’m such a sucker, I fall in love with every f***er.
"Love made me do it... and I’d do it again."
Cheryl has admitted she felt free when she created the track as she was not attached to a record label.
The star explained: "No A&R, no legal, no head of label, no one.
"I just made the music from a really pure place, music simply for the love of it.
"I thought, if I don’t know what I’m doing by now, then I don’t know what I’m doing in this industry.”
Cheryl recently deleted the entire contents of her social media, but has since added one post to promote her new track.
Cheryl and Liam announced they had parted ways in July this year after they sparked up a romance in 2016.
The Fight For This Love hitmaker was previously married to Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini after her split from Ashley Cole in 2010.
