Corrie’s Jane Danson and X Factor singer Saara Aalto are first Dancing on Ice stars to be paired up with pro skaters
JANE Danson and Saara Aalto are the first two Dancing on Ice stars to be paired with their pro skaters.
The Coronation Street actress and former X Factor singer have been confirmed for the 2019 series alongside the likes of Brian McFadden and James Jordan.
On Sunday night it was revealed Jane, 39, will be skating with Sylvain Longchambon, which is handy considering he's married to her close friend and Corrie co-star Samia Longchambon.
Meanwhile Saara, who rose to fame on the 2016 series of The X Factor, will skate with Hamish Gaman.
The news comes just days after the pro line-up was confirmed by ITV.
Gorgeous husband and wife duo Carlotta Edwards and Alexander Demetriou will be joining the show, alongside another married couple Alex Schauman and Lukasz Royzcki.
Carlotta and Alexander are both appearing on the show for the first time, while Alex and Lukasz return to the professionals’ stable having featured in previous series.
It will also consist of original Dancing on Ice skater and series favourite Matt Evers and last year’s champion Vanessa Bauer.
Series veterans Sylvain Longchambon, Brianne Delcourt and Mark Hanretty will be taking to the ice once again.
And returning fresh from their series debut last year, Alexandra Murphy, Brandee Malto and Hamish are back.
