STRICTLY Come Dancing's Danny John-Jules was forced to change his routine last Saturday after a "nasty" accident in rehearsals.
It was revealed yesterday that the actor, 58, had to make big adjustments to his American Smooth performance for the show's Halloween special after dance partner Amy Dowden got injured.
During an interview with the pair on spin-off show It Takes Two, host Zoe Ball revealed that the dance pro twisted her ankle - and Gorka Márquez was involved.
Amy, 27, explained: "In the pro rehearsals, unfortunately Gorka [Márquez] and I collided.
"It was just an accident that happened.
"My heel went right into the top of Gorka's foot, and Gorka was left with a nasty bruise too!"
The injury meant that Danny and Amy were unable to rehearse at all last Friday.
Looking on the bright side, Amy said: "You know what? I actually think it helped Danny because going in and out of the lift, he was really caring. He was brilliant."
Danny joked: "I was forced to take command."
Despite the accident, the pair made it through to another week during a results show and Seann Walsh and Katya Jones were axed.
It comes a week after Danny revealed he collapsed during rehearsals for the previous weekend's show.
The actor - who was awarded the first 10 of the series alongside Amy - said his training was so intense that he fainted.
Speaking on It Takes Two, the star said he had passed out during rehearsals at the BBC's Elstree studios in Hertfordshire.
The presenter, 31, was unable to train for two days after being hospitalised with a torn intercostal muscle and she struggled to even move during rehearsals on Thursday.
A video of the Stacey and Kevin rehearsing together aired on Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two and Kevin, 36, admitted he had switched her routine 11 times.
Ex Strictly professional dancer Iain Waite appeared on the show with Zoe Ball and after he watched the video he said: "Every time she turns she is kind of holding in.
"I think the injury has set them back.
"I do believe she has an injury - but luckily they are still practising so she should be OK by Saturday. But I think it has set them back a little bit. Fingers crossed they’re going to be okay."
