CELEBRITY First Dates viewers were left outraged this evening as Lady Colin Campbell’s date mocked her Jamaican accent.
The 69-year-old, who was born in Jamaica, was paired up with a man called Matthew who was surprised to hear where she was from.
He exclaimed: “Jamaica, I would never have guessed that! Old plantation owner?”
The bemused gent continued: “You grew up and went to school in Jamaica but your accent is not Jamaican.”
Horrified Lady Colin replied: “Oh yes it is.”
Her date then told her he “loved” the Jamaican accent before proceeding to attempt to say the word “murder” in a what he thought was the right voice.
Lady Colin didn’t look too impressed, while the waitress appeared incredibly uncomfortable.
Those watching at home were outraged by his attempt and took to Twitter to comment on it.
One person wrote: “This guy is ignorant as hell. Did my ears deceive me twice? First he said plantation owner, now he's taking the piss out of Jamaican accents.... #FirstDates.”
A second asked: “What’s with him doing that shit Jamaican accent and asking if her family used to own plantations?! Bit of casual racism FirstDates.”

Meanwhile Lady Colin had viewers in stiches when she failed to recognise Joey Essex who was also there on a date.
The reality star walked past Lady Colin and said hello but he completely blanked her.
She then turned to her date and said she didn’t have a clue who she was.
