EX EastEnders star Cheryl Fergison has begged soap bosses to give her a job in Coronation Street or Emmerdale.
The 53-year-old star had played George Michael superfan Heather Trott in the BBC soap for five years when viewers saw her character bludgeoned to death by evil teen Ben Mitchell - sealing her exit from Albert Square forever.
During an appearance on Good Morning Britain today she told Ben Shepard and Richard Arnold that she is desperate to return to soap land, and said: "So Enders finished and I live up north now.
"I love it. You have the sea, you've got country there, you've got the Lakes there, you've got Liverpool fresh air, everyone is so lovely, it's calmer, it's cheaper.
"I don't miss (London) but I wouldn't mind getting into one of those soap things please ...
"Yes please, Corrie, Emmerdale, a long lost Dingle even or anything."
Ben admitted she'd make a brilliant addition to the Dingle clan, as Cheryl replied: "You've got the NTAs (National Television Awards) coming up and I don't get invited to those anymore.
"Put in a good word for me would you?"
The brunette famed for her performance as Heather from 2007 -2012 had her first brush with EastEnders in 2005 when she played a prison cellmate.
She returned in 2007 and Heather, who is remembered for her headbands and love of cheese and karaoke, had a son George who was fathered by a then teenage Darren.
Cheryl's exit after a row between Heather and Ben, devastated the actress, who was told her contract would not be renewed.
She hoped for a heart-warming exit storyline with an A-list cameo from her character’s idol George Michael - but it wasn't to be.
It was said at the time that her exit was cemented when bosses fell out with her over a newspaper story detailing her relationship with Moroccan toyboy lover Yassine Al-Jermini.
They then married and he moved to Britain to live with her and her son Alex.
Her other small screen highlights include Celebrity Big Brother and Your Face Sounds Familiar and she recently moved into stage acting.
She's starring in Maggie May in Liverpool in the Royal court about an innocent Irish girl with her heart set on New York.
