Strictly’s Graziano vows to stay friends with Vick Hope despite rift following shock exit
The pair were voted out after a dance-off with Seann Walsh and Katya Jones last night
STRICTLY star Graziano Di Prima has vowed to stay friends with Vick Hope following their shock exit from the show.
Speaking at the Inside Soap Awards, the Italian dancer gushed the pair were “really close”, after rumours of a rift between them emerged.
Vick set tongues wagging yesterday, when she liked a Tweet that hinted she’d rather have danced with pro Neil Jones on the BBC show.
However, Graziano was quick to blast any rumours of a fallout tonight, by revealing he and the DJ will stay close friends after the series.
When asked by the if he’ll still meet up with Vick, the dancer said: “Of course! We’re really close friends. We’ve just been together now filming It Takes Two.”
Before joking: “And we can take a coffee whenever we want because we’re free now!”
Vick and Graziano were voted out by the judges on Sunday night, after a dance-off with controversial couple Seann Walsh and Katya Jones.
Many fans were furious with the outcome, but Graziano said the pair were at peace with the decision.
“I’m really happy that people thought that and that me and Vick were really liked, but the judges are really professional,” he said.
“It’s all part of the show. Someone has to go.”
However, his comments come after Vick sparked speculation of a fix, by revealing producers had a “conflab” with the judges before announcing their exit.
A spokesperson told The Sun Online in response: “It is categorically untrue to imply that producers tell the Judges how to score or who to save.
“Each judge votes on each dance independently, based on its merits and in their expert opinion alone.”
Vick and Graziano then appeared on It Takes Two, where the Capital DJ burst into tears as she gushed about the “amazing” experience.
