Holly Willoughby squeals in terror as she’s forced to do a Bushtucker Trial during emotional This Morning farewell show before I’m A Celebrity
HOLLY Willougbhy was left terrified on today's This Morning as she was forced to take part in a Bushtucker Trial.
The 37-year-old, filming her last appearance of the year before heading Down Under to present I'm A Celebrity with Declan Donnelly, was horrified as she had to guess what was in a series of boxes.
But little did she know she was being set up and was in fact just touching a toy spider, some kittens and Georgia Toffolo’s head.
In hilarious scenes, the presenter squealed and squirmed as she was made to guess what was in the boxes – only to discover they contained nothing scary at all.
Presented with the trial, Holly was nervous but laughing, as she said: "I don't think I can do this, honestly, I think I'm going to cry.
"I actually don't know how the celebrities do this, I'm a little bit worried standing behind these boxes.
"I'm going to tell them 'you don't have to do this, they won't starve you, they don't let you die, it's a telly show, don't feel the pressure'."
Phillip told her: "On behalf of the production team, they will say 'please don't do that'."
She put her hands into the first box, which viewers could see contained a large remote-controlled spider, and she screeched as it moved under her hands.
"Oh God, I don't like it, I don't like it," she said.
After learning it was a toy, she said: "I've got such a sweat on."
The second box had three kittens inside, which she initially thought could be rats.
The third box saw last year's I'm A Celebrity champion Georgia Toffolo crouch down so Willoughby could feel her head.
After her fake trial, Holly was presented with hamper of English treats to take with her to Oz before she said goodbye to co-host Phillip Schofield and the audience at home.
She said: "I am going to miss you all so much. I will be back soon."
Her new I'm A Celeb co-host Dec Donnelly took to Twitter to mock her efforts and wrote: "Just watched @Schofe put @hollywills through a #BushtuckerTrial on @thismorning. She was worse than Gillian McKeith!
"What the heck are we in for!? #ImACeleb."
Earlier in the show she shared a cuddle with her TV husband Phil who was upset about saying goodbye ahead of her I'm a Celebrity stint.
Holly will replace Ant McPartlin who has temporarily quit TV to focus on his health.
Kicking off the start of This Morning, Holly said: "I can't believe it's come around so quick."
But the thought of Holly leaving left Phil feeling upset.
After he poked his bottom lip out, Holly rushed to comfort him, shouting, "Don't, I'm going to miss you!"
Holly's shoes will be filled by Rochelle Humes after the half term break.
She was offered a massive six-figure deal to work alongside Dec in Australia following Ant's drink-drive conviction.
The TV presenter has already claimed her fear of creepy crawlies will make her stint in the jungle a "disaster".
Teasing Holly about what she has in store for her, Phil said: "We've got a few surprises in store for you today.
"At the end of the show Holly will be completing her own live BushTucker trial."
Holly replied: "You do know how the show works, don't you? I just go and watch other people do it.
"Essentially it's just like me watching it at home on the telly."
But an unconvinced Phil said: "Where's the fun in that? You've got to know what it feels like. And we all want a laugh!"
