CORONATION Street fans were left heartbroken during this evening’s episode after Michelle Connor admitted she almost killed herself when she lost her baby.
The barmaid, played by Kym Marsh, suffered a devastating miscarriage and was rushed to hospital.
And as she struggled to cope after, she considered jumping off a bridge.
She said: “After I lost Rory I didn’t think I could carry on. So I sat on top of a bridge and all I wanted to do is throw myself off.
“I wanted to end that pain.”
Her son Ali replied: “You never told me that.”
She told him: “I just couldn’t see a way out but there was one. Rob helped me find it.
Taking to Twitter to voice their upset, one viewer wrote: “This Michelle and Ali scene has me broke. What are these tears?”
Another tweeted: “Corrie must be trying to get Michelle another award with all this family losing thing.”
And someone else posted: “Brilliant scenes with Michelle and Ali. I’m in tears.”
Meanwhile, another viewer shared: “I’m heartbroken by these scenes tonight. Kym Marsh is such a good actress.”
