DAVID Beckham has finally admitted there are troubles in his marriage to Victoria.
In a shock interview he says: “To have been married for the amount of time that we have, it’s always hard work.
“It becomes a little more complicated.”
The former footballer’s candid comments — which will be aired on Australian TV this Sunday — are likely to infuriate his ex-Spice Girl wife who loves to promote their family.
Becks will also tell interviewer Lisa Wilkinson: “I feel like I’m doing OK but it’s a struggle.”
His admissions confirm months of exclusives in The Sun about how Posh and Becks’ 19-year marriage is more strained than ever — especially over his move to Miami to launch a football club without his wife and four kids.
The interview comes just weeks after Victoria, 44, awkwardly addressed rumours of marriage problems.
Without saying she loved David, 43, she told Vogue magazine: “We both realise that we are stronger together than we are as individuals.
“Would either of us be in the position we are in now had we not met and been together all those years ago? It’s all about the family unit.
We are much stronger the six of us than we would be if we were individuals.
“We respect that family bond and that is key.”
Posh and Becks met in 1997 and wed two years later. They have sons Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 16, and Cruz, 13, and daughter Harper, seven.
David mentioned fatherhood to Lisa, telling The Sunday Project show: “Sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference. I’ve noticed that with my children.”
When quizzed about media intrusion, he added: “The thing we have to do is protect our children.”
That is likely to anger the couple’s critics who point out they decided Romeo should be a Burberry model when he was ten and Cruz should release a pop single aged 11.
Victoria continues to push their children on social media, which is said to irk David.
They have also clashed over tattoos, with Victoria becoming concerned over the number of inkings Brooklyn is having — just like his dad.
She doesn’t like David being in Miami, where he is in the company of best pal Dave Gardner, who she dislikes.

And she is critical of David’s partying, especially with glamorous women such as Alexa Chung and Poppy Delevingne.
Posh has also scrutinised his friendship with socialite Lady Mary Charteris.
