Cheryl and Liam planned to DUET on his love song Polaroid before they split, claims singer Jonas Blue
The track, which talks about finding love at first sight, was released at the start of this month
CHERYL and Liam Payne were planning to duet on his romantic new song, Polaroid.
Jonas Blue, who worked on the track with Liam, made the confession when speaking about the song.
Cheryl, 35, and 25-year-old Liam split in June, before they could record the song together.
Speaking to , Jonas explained: “About a year ago I said to my manager that I would love to do a collaboration with them both and I reckon it would have been Polaroid.
“It would have been perfect as I knew when I wrote the song I could hear Liam’s voice on it.”
Liam released the track as a solo single, featuring Jonas and Lennon Stella, instead at the start of this month.
The revelation comes ahead of Cheryl’s first music release in four years.
She will perform her first single, Love Made Me Do It, on The X Factor.
A source told The Sun: “Inevitably, all of the big TV shows have been fighting to get Cheryl’s first performance as it will be a huge ratings winner.
“But she has decided to remain loyal to The X Factor rather than give the exclusive to its rival, BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.
“And Cheryl will be pulling out all of the stops to make sure that this is one of her most talked-about performances to date.”
Last month, producer Naughty Boy – who’s worked on some of Cheryl’s new music – said the album she’d created was “personal to her”.
A source told The Sun Cheryl’s famous ex-boyfriends might cringe when they hear the lyrics to, Love Made Me Do It.
On the track, Cheryl sings about how she’s a “sucker” as she “falls in love” with “every f***er”.
