Coronation Street’s Tracy Barlow leaves new husband Steve McDonald abroad before framing Abi Franklin for the fatal car crash
Knowing she could be in trouble for tampering with the car Tracy steals the CCTV footage
CORRIE’S Tracy Barlow returns from her honeymoon next week without new husband Steve McDonald – who she leaves stranded in Morocco for cheating on her with Leanne Battersby.
Considering what she did to Charlie Stubbs when he cheated on her with Maria Connor, we can’t help but think Steve’s got off lightly.
The same can’t be said for poor Abi Franklin though as she gets caught up in the mess and is arrested for causing the car crash which left Ronan Truman dead and Leanne and Ryan Connor in hospital.
When Tracy, played by Kate Ford, returns she’s horrified to hear about the huge crash and even more worried when the cops come and lead Abi away for questioning.
Tracy, who tampered with Michelle Connor’s car after coming to the conclusion that Steve was sleeping with Abi, knows she could be in big trouble.
She forms a plan and pockets Abi’s keys and wallet.
Later Abi, former Shameless star Sally Carmen, takes the police to the garage, knowing that the CCTV there will prove her innocence, but she’s left horrified when she discovers that the laptop with the footage on has been stolen.
As the police question Abi they suggest she was in cahoots with Ronan and sabotaged the car in return for drugs.
Abi is livid and – back on the street – loses her temper with a disbelieving Kevin.
Will anyone believe that Abi is innocent? Will Tracy own up and save her friend? Unlikely.
We recently revealed that Abi would be going to prison over the car crash where she will make friends with another cobbles jailbird – Sally Metcalfe.
