Ariana Grande’s ex Pete Davidson was ‘back on drugs that sent him to rehab’ before split
The singer said she had been through 'hell and back' since the death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller who died of a suspected drugs overdose
PETE Davidson was back on the drugs that sent him to rehab weeks before splitting from fiancee Ariana Grande, it has been claimed.
The Saturday Night Live comedian spent three months sober, but recently returned to smoking weed despite admitting having "mental breakdowns" when hooked on the drug.
He told American host Howard Stern last month: “There was no way I could stop. I was like, somebody has to put me in a house where there is literally nothing. I had too much access.
“I was sober for 3 months at one point and was like this f***ing sucks.
“I don’t want to feel like this."
Bi-polar Pete also suffers from Crohn’s disease, which he claims is helped by the drug. He added: "I also just love smoking weed.”
It was reported last night that Pete and Ariana split after a whirlwind five-month relationship.
Last month her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller died of a suspected drugs overdose.
Ariana was left devastated by his death aged 26 and told how she was “so sorry” and “mad” that she couldn’t “fix” him.
She told fans: “We talked about this. so many times. I’m so mad, I’m so sad I don’t know what to do. You were my dearest friend. For so long. Above anything else.
“I’m so sorry I couldn’t fix or take your pain away. I really wanted to. The kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. I hope you’re okay now. rest.”
It followed a difficult year after the Manchester Arena attack, which saw 22 of Ariana's fans killed in the bomb blast and hundreds more injured.
She got engaged to Pete within weeks of her two-year relationship breakdown with Mac.
But news of the addict's death left her rocked, with her admitting she had been through "hell and back".
Now she is having to deal with another relationship breakdown following her sudden split with Pete.
