A new report suggests the shamed comic claims he said sorry to the actress after he was caught kissing his dance partner last weekend
STRICTLY love rat Seann Walsh is reportedly claiming he apologised to his girlfriend Rebecca Humphries face-to-face after he was caught snogging Katya Jones.
A new report suggests the shamed comic has been insisting he said sorry to the actress in person after The Sun On Sunday published pictures of him kissing his dance partner last weekend.
The comic, 32, got dumped by his girlfriend of five years earlier this week - days after news broke of his boozy night out with married Katya, 29.
Rebecca slammed her ex in a blistering statement in which she revealed she'd moved out of the London flat they shared and taken the cat with her.
She also accused Seann of failing to apologise, but a new report suggests Seann is claiming he did say sorry face-to-face.
A source told the : "Seann has apologised on TV for his actions and insists he apologised to Rebecca face-to-face and tried to contact her again later in the week after she put out her statement to say sorry again."
He said sorry to fans on Twitter and issued another public apology in an appearance on Strictly's It Takes Two this week.
However, after the TV turn Rebecca liked a number of tweets suggesting Seann still hadn't actually apologised to her.
It comes amid reports Seann is planning to use the Strictly scandal as comedy material in his new stand-up tour.
He told the Daily Star: “I’ve got a lot to say about Katya. I could do a whole show on her."
The shamed comedian has also been working extra hard in rehearsals to impress viewers when he takes to the dance floor tomorrow night.
All eyes will be on Seann and Katya tomorrow as they return to the Strictly dance floor for the first time since the scandal, and he's said to be keen to make amends with the public.
A source told : "[He] is desperate to get the chance to move on with Strictly and with his life.
“He is training hard and is going to give everything he can in the performance."
The pair are going to be dancing the Charleston after Strictly bosses reportedly asked for the sexy routine they had initially planned to do to be toned down.
They are believed to have been previously planning to treat fans to a sexy Tango or a raunchy Rumba.
It comes as The Sun Online exclusively revealed Seann and Katya were seen kissing at a London pub on several occasions before they were caught on camera.
While Seann got dumped, Katya’s husband, Strictly dancer Neil Jones, has tried to ignore the scandal by going back to work.
Seann and Katya’s grovelling apologies were posted online earlier this week.
Katya said in a statement: “I’m so sorry about any offence or hurt I have caused with my actions.
“I wasn’t thinking and it was a one off mistake after some drinks.
“I love my husband and we are very happy together, this is not a reflection on our relationship.”
Seann added: “In light of the story in today's newspaper I would like to offer my sincere apologies for my actions.
“This is no excuse but it was a one-off drunken mistake which I am truly sorry for.”
