Rami Malek, 37, is an actor from LA who was born May 12, 1981.
The actor comes from a family of Egyptian immigrants and his father was formerly a tour guide in Cairo.
He attended the same high school as The O.C. star Rachel Bilson and Kirsten Dunst.
In 2003 Rami graduated with a degree in fine arts from the University of Evansville, Indiana.
The 37-year-old won the Best Actor award at the Oscars 2019 for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody.
What has Rami Malek starred in?
Rami's debut TV role was a guest appearance on Gilmore Girls in 2004.
In 2006 he made his feature film debut as Pharaoh Ahkmenrah in Night At The Museum alongside Ben Stiller.
He also played the suicide bomber Marcos Al-Zacar in the Fox series 24.
In 2010 he took on the role of the Egyptian coven vampire Benjamin in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.

In April 2019 the cast for the forthcoming action film was revealed during a launch event in Jamaica, where Rami Malek was in next year’s James Bond film.
His character is described to be ";a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology".
Rami was not in attendance during the event, telling the audience via a pre-recorded video message that he was filming another project but going on to mention that he looks forward to working with the creative team behind the Bond franchise.
"I will be making sure Mr. Bond does not have an easy ride in this, his 25th outing. See you all soon."
Further details regarding Rami’s character remain unknown at this current time, which shouldn’t come as a shock seeing that fans are still waiting to hear what the official title of the upcoming film will be.
Is Rami Malek single?
Rami Malek is dating his Bohemian Rhapsody co-star Lucy Boynton.
They are thought to have been in a relationship since April 2018.
An insider told US Weekly: "They met while filming in London. He is so into her. He goes and visits her in London all the time."
Lucy was the first person Rami acknowledged when his name was called out at the Oscars.
The actor kissed his girlfriend multiple times on the lips before taking to the stage.
