Seann Walsh’s ex Rebecca Humphries praised by Women’s Aid for leaving ‘controlling’ comedian
The actress claimed that Seann had become 'aggressive' towards her when she questioned him staying out with Katya Jones
SEANN Walsh’s ex Rebecca Humphries has been praised by Women’s Aid for leaving the “controlling” comedian – and taking their pet cat.
In a statement yesterday actress Rebecca, 32, claimed Seann had left her at home on her birthday the night he kissed Katya Jones and "aggressively" called her a "psycho" when she voiced her suspicions about them.
Leading charity, Women’s Aid have now supported her post, which raised concerns about Seann’s behaviour, and “applauded” her for speaking out and potentially helping others in the same situation.
Katie Ghose, Chief Executive of Women’s Aid, told The Sun Online: “We applaud Rebecca Humphries for speaking out publicly about her experience of Seann Walsh’s controlling behaviour.
“By telling her side of the story, in her own words and on her own terms, she is sending out the powerful message to women who are being controlled by their partners that they deserve better.”
They added: “We’re also very pleased to hear that Rebecca got the cat.”
In the statement, Rebecca - who made it clear she was not a victim - wrote: "These pictures were taken on October 3rd. It was my birthday.
"I was alone at home when Seann texted at 10pm saying the two of them were going for one innocent drink.
"We spoke and I told him, not for the first time, that his actions over the past three weeks had led me to believe something inappropriate was going on.
"He aggressively and repeatedly called me a psycho/ nuts/mental.
"As he had done countless times throughout our relationship when I've questioned his inappropriate , hurtful behaviour."
It came after both Seann and Katya took to social media to apologise for their behaviour and claimed it was a “one off drunken mistake.”
Katya’s husband, Strictly dancer Neil, on the other hand has tried to ignore the scandalby going back to work.
He even posted a naked snap on Instagram yesterday.
Katya and Seann pulled the plug on an appearance on Lorraine Kelly’s ITV breakfast show yesterday but have returned to training, despite calls for him to quit.
