She later unfollowed Seann on Instagram, liked a series of supportive tweets from fans and blasted him in a blistering statement on Twitter, accusing him of being "controlling".

The Sun On Sunday exclusively revealed the shocking pictures of the Strictly Come Dancing pair locking lips on a street in London after a night out.

Katya, who was married to fellow dancer Neil Jones, was the first to hold her hands up and told her fans on Twitter: “I’m so sorry about any offence or hurt I have caused with my actions.

“I wasn’t thinking and it was a one-off mistake after some drinks.

“I love my husband and we are very happy together, this is not a reflection on our relationship.”

Seann followed suit and added: “In light of the story in today's newspaper I would like to offer my sincere apologies for my actions.

"This is no excuse but it was a one-off drunken mistake which I am truly sorry for.”

Following their passionate kiss - which happened on Rebecca's birthday - Seann and Katya remained on the show.

The dancing pair went on It Takes Two afterwards to once again apologise for their actions.

However, Seann failing to mention Rebecca's name in her apology fuelled angry tweets from the viewers which Rebecca liked.

Weeks later on during a stand-up gig at the London Comedy Store, Seann addressed the incident and admitted he "f****d up".

Rebecca, who had been celebrating her birthday the night Seann was snapped snogging his co-star in pictures exclusively revealed by The Sun, unfollowed Seann on Instagram.

She then released a strongly-worded statement on her Twitter page, writing: "Hello there, my name is Rebecca Humphries and I am not a victim.

"I wasn’t sure whether to respond to events from the past week, but I feel the narrative has missed a couple of crucial elements that I would like to clear up."

She claimed that she has not yet received an apology from Seann.

Addressing the photos, she continued: "Those pictures were taken on October 3rd. It was my birthday.

"I was alone at home when Seann texted at 10pm saying the two of them were going for one innocent drink."

Rebecca then added that she wants others to learn from the situation.

"But – this whole business has served to remind me that I am a strong, capable person who is now free; and no victim.

"Despite everything, I hope he gets what he wants from this. I’m not sorry I took the cat though.

"Love, Rebecca."

Rebecca moved out of the home she shared with Seann and received support from celeb pals including Stacey Solomon who praised her "powerful, important message.";
