Hollyoaks’ Stephanie Davis says baby son Caben stopped her taking her own life during battle with alcoholism

Actress overcame an addiction to alcohol and has credited her little boy with saving her life

STEPHANIE Davis has admitted she would be “dead and buried” if it wasn’t for her son Caben Albi.

The 25-year-old actress went to rehab after battling an addiction to alcohol last year.

When she finished treatment, Stephanie had turned her life around and credits her 21-month year old son for saving her.

Speaking to , Stephanie said: “Although I look after him, he’s looked after me more than he knows.

“If it wasn’t for him I would have been dead and buried a long time ago. I was so suicidal, but he kept me going.

“He’s my little angel and I’ll be honest with him about everything. I’m proud of my journey and I’m glad that I’m an addict because the programme makes you a better person.”

Stephanie had Caben with her now ex-boyfriend, Celebrity Big Brother contestant Jeremy McConnell.

Their relationship turned toxic and Jeremy was later convicting of assaulting Stephanie in August after a fight at her home.

She said she’s now moved on from the past trauma and admitted she no longer thinks of Jeremy.

The Hollyoaks star explained: “I don’t feel anything. I used to, but now I don’t.

“A few months ago I had a turning point – I made peace with everything that’s happened in my life.

“I’m looking forward now and I’m focusing on being the best mum.”

During her interview with OK!, Stephanie also spoke candidly about her battle with alcohol and how she’d been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder once she entered rehab.
