KATIE Piper has revealed Strictly Come Dancing has helped her to “feel sexy again”.

The mum-of-two has been wowing her fans on the BBC dancing show with her partner Gorka Marquez.

Last night the pair performed a Foxtrot to City Of Stars from La La Land.

Speaking about her experience of the show so far, Katie, 34, told : “I wanted to use the show as a tool to learn how to let go and feel sexy.

“I used to feel like this some years ago and would like to get a small bit of it back.”

To help her cope with performing in front of millions of people live on TV, Katie has started meditating.

She added: “The mind is the most powerful tool you can call on in times of need and I've used it many times.

“I've found techniques that work for me - meditation has been a great help over the past two weeks.”

Recalling her wedding dance in 2015, Katie added: “Dancing definitely doesn't come naturally to me but it's about letting go and enjoying yourself.

“That's what I did at my wedding and now on Strictly but this time in front of millions.”

Katie’s time on the show has been made all the more difficult following the news her acid attack was going to be released from prison.

The TV star admitted the revelation had been “psychologically overwhelming”.

Stefan Sylvestre was recently granted parole nine years into a life sentence for carrying out the horrific acid attack on her.

In a candid interview, Katie said of the news: I2 have been having lots of things going on in my personal life, legal things, and I think it [dancing] became psychologically overwhelming for me.”

“While there is never a good time to hear this, I have this new journey to concentrate on.”
