First look at Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby in Peaky Blinders series five
The handsome actor can be seen for the first time in a promo shot for the latest series

PEAKY Blinders fans have been offered a first glimpse of Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby in series five.
The handsome actor can be seen for the first time in a promo shot for the latest series.
Straddling a black horse, Cillian looks sombre and purposeful in the moody shot.
He wears Tommy's trademark flat cap and sharp, three-piece suit as he looks ahead into the distance.
Fans of the hit BBC drama have been desperate for the return of the show and series fave Tommy.
And they don't have to wait too much longer as it's set to return next year.
Show creator Steve Wright has previously revealed that he wanted the story to run from the end of World War One to the beginning of World War Two, and has teased that the fifth season may be the last.
He revealed to : “I’ve always had a pretty clear road map of how this works between World War One and World War Two, and it’s flexible in that you can get to the destination quicker or slower.
"So in my mind it’s probable that we’ll get there at the end of series five. It may be series six.”

It's currently unclear what will happen in the story during season five - particularly as Steve Knight was yet to put pen to paper when he spilt the beans.
However, he has revealed that they plan to shoot the new series in Autumn 2018, penning the new series release at some point in 2019.
The writer revealed: “I hope it does run and run all the way up to the Second World War, but it does get harder to get the cast together as the actors are being pulled into feature films."
Before adding: "It’s a victim of its own success.”
