THE Crown's Olivia Colman looked sombre as she recreated the Queen's 1966 visit to Aberfan days after the Welsh mining disaster which killed 144 people.
The actress was seen wearing an almost identical outfit to that worn by the Monarch on her trip to the area that was devastated by the colliery landslide 52 years ago.
Olivia, 44, has taken over the role of Queen Elizabeth II from Claire Foy for the third series of the hit Netflix drama.
She was seen shooting new scenes on location in the Brecon Beacons this week as the show recreated the Queen's controversial visit to the village.
Wearing a fur hat and orange jacket, Olivia held a bunch of white flowers as she walked through the streets with the other actors.
Filming was taking place in Cwmaman, around 15 miles from the real village of Aberfan.
The shoot was an almost perfect recreation of the day Queen Elizabeth visited the village more than five decades ago.
The disaster killed 144 people, including 116 children at the local school, when a landslide of waste from the hilltop coal mine hit the village on October 21, 1966.
The Queen came under fire for delaying her trip to the village as she failed to make an appearance in Aberfan until more than a week after the tragedy.
