PUSSYCAT Dolls' Melody Thornton has been revealed as the next celebrity to join Dancing on Ice.

Th 34-year-old star was announced as the latest famous contestant to join the ITV show on Good Morning Britain today.

Melody is the seventh celebrity skater confirmed for 2019, when the series returns to ITV in the New Year.

She was announced via a message on today's GMB and said: "Hi guys, it's Melody Thornton from Pussycat Dolls. And I guess the cat's out of the bag. I'm so excited.

"I'm going to be on the 2019 cast of Dancing On Ice. I can't wait to see you and I can't wait to do some skating for you! Love you."

She joins Gemma Collins, Richard Blackwood, James Jordan, Brian McFadden, Saira Khan and Ryan Sidebottom in the line-up.

Saira Khan is the fifth celebrity confirmed to be skating next yearShe is best known as the second lead vocalist in the Pussycat Dolls after Nicole Scherzinger.

Melody will be getting her skates and sequins on ready to compete alongside eleven other celebrities in the quest for glory, under the watchful eye of the skating legends Torvill and Dean, who head up the judging panel.

Each week the twelve celebrities will skate live with their professional partners in a bid to impress both the panel and the viewers, who will ultimately decide who wins the show.
