LOVE Island star Dani Dyer announced her engagement to Jack Fincham today – but it was all a massive wind up.
The couple, who met and fell in love on the ITV2 dating show earlier this year, appeared to confirm their news on social media today following their whirlwind romance.
Sharing a picture of silver ring with a simple diamond, Dani wrote: ” I said yes. My soulmate.”
But it was in fact just a prank orchestrated by Capital FM breakfast show host Roman Kemp this morning.
Roman forced her to post an image of a ring – leaving fans gobsmacked before they realised it was wind up.
Marriage might not be too far off for the couple though, as after winning the show Jack, 26, told The Sun that he would definitely marry the daughter of Danny Dyer.
He told us: “We’re getting married next year, 100 per cent. Like my mum said to me so many times, ‘When you know about someone, you just know’.
“And now I know what she’s talking about. I just know that’s what we want to do.”
Dani, 21, added: “It ain’t about planning when we’re gonna have kids.
“It’s about enjoying a bit of time outside the villa now. And when we’re both ready, we will talk about it. Right now I’m just happy to be with him.”
Jack won the approval of Dani’s dad, hardman Danny Dyer, who said when they were in the villa: “It would be lovely if her and Jack would walk down the aisle but who knows, let’s meet the f****** geezer first.”
The couple have already moved in together and have remained as close as ever after three months of dating.
