Wolf Alice’s lead singer Ellie Rowsell is engaged to Slaves frontman Isaac Holman after a year and a half of dating
The couple have already bought a house together in Margate, Kent — just down the road from The Libertines new studios
WOLF Alice have another reason to celebrate following their recent Mercury Prize win for the album Visions Of A Life.
I can reveal the Indie band’s lead singer Ellie Rowsell has quietly got engaged to Slaves frontman Isaac Holman.
The couple have already bought a house together in Margate, Kent — and it’s just down the road from a new hotel and creative studios The Libertines have opened.
A source close to the musical pair, who have been dating for a year and a half, said: “Ellie and Isaac got together in February last year and have been inseparable ever since.
“They’re a match made in heaven and are equally passionate about seeing each other’s bands be successful. Isaac decided to make things official over the summer, much to the excitement of their bandmates.
“Slaves guitarist Laure Vincent has a child so he’s been teasing Ellie and Isaac that they need to get a move on and start a family of their own.
“Obviously Margate was the ideal location for their first home, especially given it’s a bit of an indie music haven.”
Isaac, who got Ellie to lend her vocals on Slaves’ third top ten album Acts Of Fear And Love, popped the question in July.
The couple’s exciting news comes just two weeks after Wolf Alice beat the acts including Noel Gallagher, Artic Monkey's and Lily Allen to win the coveted Mercury Prize 2018 and pocket the £25,000 prize money.
At least Ellie and Isaac won’t be short for their honeymoon fund.

SPOTIFY is celebrating the very best in hip-hop, grime and R&B by launching its biggest ever live UK show, Who We Be Live.
Craig David, French Montana, Raye and more will perform on November 28 at London’s Alexandra Palace presented by Live Nation. Last year Cardi B, Giggs, Dizee Rascal and J Hus made up the stellar line-up.
Chez ready to Do It in the studio
THE wait is almost over for Cheryl fans – she is about to release her first new music following a four-year break.
I can reveal the former Girls Aloud singer has booked a central London studio to film the music video for comeback single Love Made Me Do It.
For next week’s shoot she has hired Daniel Landin, who worked on the videos for Oasis’ Cigarettes And Alcohol and Robbie Williams’ She’s The One. The explosive track – where Cheryl sings about how she’s a “sucker” as she “falls in love” with “every f***er” – focuses on her painful split from Liam Payne and her divorces from footballer Ashley Cole and Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.
She is said to be performing the track on X Factor during the live shows, ahead of her TV return next year as a judge on new BBC show The Greatest Dancer.
Cheryl will be hoping Love Made Me Do It has more chart success than her ex has enjoyed.
Despite Liam rushing to release his latest EP after their split, none of the tracks from First Time made the Top 40, even though one featured French Montana.
The bar’s not too high.

FIVE months on from their spellbinding performance at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding in Windsor, The Kingdom Choir have announced their own UK tour commencing in spring 2019.
It will include a show at the Royal Albert Hall to mark exactly one year after they sang Stand By Me and This Little Light Of Mine at the wedding.
Daisy snaps up snapper
SHE is the ambassador for dating app Bumble but Daisy Lowe can take a break from swiping. The model was pictured with a new man, who I can reveal is London photographer and artist Cameron McMeikan.
While Daisy might still be searching for The One, she has no trouble dating.
Her list of exes include artist John Leigh, who she split with in spring, Doctor Who star Matt Smith, Hurts heart-throb Theo Hutchcraft, Pop Idol’s Darius Campbell and Bradley “Frankie” Wade, who fell victim to the Strictly curse when they split during her 2016 stint on the show.
Hopefully this one’s for keeps.

Kanye's reason goes West
IT looks like Kanye West – or “Ye” as he now wants to be known – still hopes to move into the White House with wife Kim Kardashian, after the 2020 election.
In a baffling tweet on Sunday, the pro-Trump rapper called for the 13th Amendment – the bit of the US Constitution which outlaws slavery – to be abolished. Posting a selfie in a Make America Great Again cap, Kanye ranted: “We will no longer outsource to other countries. We build factories here in America and create jobs.
“We will provide jobs for all who are free from prisons as we abolish the 13th amendment. Message sent with love.” He later tweeted: “The 13th Amendment is slavery in disguise, meaning it never ended.”
Then he said it shouldn’t be scrapped but amended.
Regardless, Lana Del Rey and actor Chris Evans were among the masses who slated him on social media.
I wouldn’t count on him getting many votes.

ROD Stewart has revealed he is a big fan of modern technology – because it means he no longer has to spend weeks at a time locked away laying down album tracks.
He said: “I was so tired of spending month after month in a dark studio and never seeing the sun. The way we do it now is all on laptops . . . It’s just lovely. I see the daylight while I’m working.”
Little Mix go Strictly
THE future’s bright for Little Mix – and so will be the music video for new tune Woman Like Me, which features Nicki Minaj.
Jade Thirwall’s blue sequin dress, could have come from the Strictly fashion department, while Perrie Edwards chose a pink sweater and purple jacket. Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jesy Nelson made sure to tone things down in black lacy playsuits.

Graham sorts 'em
MAKING a living as a chat show host has paid off for Graham Norton.
The single telly star has revealed he loves quizzing his potential partners.
He said: “I have to say, I love a first date. It’s probably the interviewer in me, I like meeting someone once. A first date, even a terrible first date, is good in a weird sort of way.
“For me, the really awful dates are two and three. You know this isn’t really going anywhere but these dates are bad enough to make you say, ‘I never want to see you again’.
“So you just think ‘Well, I’ll see you again’ and after three dates you have to break up. But we weren’t going out.”
