Lorraine Kelly reveals Robert Downey Jr complimented her boobs live on TV the first time they met
LORRAINE Kelly has revealed Robert Downey Jr complimented her boobs during their first ever meeting live on TV.
The 58-year-old recalled the incident this morning while interviewing her pal Jeremy Kyle, who had rushed to her defence at the time.
The tale came about when Jeremy told Lorraine she looked "fantastic" on today's show, prompting the pair to erupt into giggles.
Explaining the inside joke, the presenter said: "My first ever day on television was me presenting This Morning with Lorraine and I walked in so nervous, and she was so kind and so lovely.
"And Lorraine was about to interview Robert Downey Jr and he just said..." he trailed off, before gesturing at her chest.
Struggling not to laugh, Lorraine went on: "Yeah he said "Nice t*ts" to me. That was his opening remark!"
Revealing he had been outraged, Jeremy admitted: "And I just lost all nerve and said, "Who the hell do you think you are!""
While a giggling Lorraine assured viewers: "He leapt to my defence!"
Before adding of the actor: "I don't even think he knew where he was to be honest."
A-lister Robert made the saucy compliment back in 2005 while Lorraine and Jeremy were filling in for hosts Phillip Schofield and Fern Britton.
Lorraine had welcomed the actor during the interview by stating: "You look fantastic."
However, the Iron Man star bizarrely responded: "Thanks, I was going to say that your t*ts look great, too, particularly today."
Clearly uncomfortable, Lorraine simply said: "I didn’t realise they were so out, I’ll put them back in," before continuing questioning about his new film.
Lorraine and Jeremy have remained friends since their joint hosting duties, and the 53-year-old even promised to invite Lorraine to his wedding on today's show.
The Sun revealed in February that Jeremy had proposed to partner Vicky Burton, 35, who worked as his children’s nanny until 2016.
However, he admitted to Lorraine that no plans for the wedding had been made just yet, stating: "I did ask Victoria to get married to me because she's changed my life without a shadow of a doubt.
"But there are no plans currently. Tell you what Lorraine, you'll be first to know when we do!"
